East Rockhill Township residents have a number of free services available to them through both the township and Bucks County. Township services and contact information for important paid services are listed in this section. Visit www.buckscounty.org for a complete listing of county services.

Trash

The township trash district (Cedarbrook Crossing The Pines at Pennridge II & III ) have a single hauler; all other residents must contract with private haulers or piggy back on the contract. A new contract is in place beginning January 2017. For information on rates and how you can piggy back on to the contract please read the details. Trash and recylcing collection are mandated for every household and business.

Recycling

Paper items can be recycled in green and yellow Paper Retriever dumpsters throughout the community. Trash and recylcing collection are mandated for every household and business.

With the passing of the Covered Device Recycling Act, there is a new law in Pennsylvania. All electronic devices including computer, monitors, television, audio equipment, printers and other devices can no longer be thrown away with trash. Collection dates are sent out with the Township monthly enews which can be signed up for at the bottom of this page.

Household hazardous waste items can be disposed of at the 2017 Household Hazardous Waste Collection sponsored by Bucks County Planning Commission.

Yard Waste Collection

Dates are posted on the Township homepage and Spring newsletter for the collection of the Spring Yard Waste which typically occurs the last week of May. Tree limbs and branches are to be placed in neat piles at the edge of the road or driveway. LIMB SIZE is restricted to four to six feet lengths no greater than five inches in diameter. PILES for pick-up are limited to four feet wide, four feet high and six feet long.

Two yard waste dumpsters are available for RESIDENTIAL use located behind the Municipal office Monday-Saturday 6am-9pm and Sunday 6am-1pm. No bags, stumps, grass or items with a diameter larger than four inches are allowed. The site is monitored electronically.

Leaf Collection

In November the collection of leaves begins with dates posted on the Township homepage and Fall newsletter. The Township is divided into 4 sections. Leaves must be raked into neat piles along property road frontage no later than 7:00 am on the first day of collection for your section. Once the machine passes, the road is done and will not return.

Public Sewer & Water

Water services are offered to residents through either the North Penn Water Authority or Perkasie Regional Water Authority, depending on where you live. Sewer service is provided by and billed through the township.

Street Maintenance & Snow Removal

The township maintains most roads throughout the township, while PennDOT handles several major roads.

Cable, Internet, Phone & More

Residents have a number of choices in cable, phone, and internet service providers. Electric is provided through PP&L Electric Utilities.

Pennridge Community Center

Offers activities to members ranging from aerobics and line dancing to T'ai Chi, ceramics and billiards. Participate in trips, dinner dances, family hair cuts, blood pressure monitoring and make new friends over a nutritious lunch.

Hoarding

Bucks County has developed a Hoarding Task Force in an effort to reduce distress of its elders, children, individuals and families, as well as their animals, who struggle with hoarding or the effects of hoarding.

Veteran Discount

Nearly 700 Bucks County business offer substantial veterans discounts to those holding the Bucks County Veterans ID card. Call 215-348-6209 to see how you can get your card or visit www.BucksCounty.org to see a list of participating businesses.

Veteran Transportation

Since November 2001, Bucks County has been providing transportation to veterans to VA Hospitals in Philadelphia and Coatesville. The program is overseen by the BC Department of Veteran Affairs and has carried over 11,000 veterans FREE of charge. The bus runs 5 days a week covering all of Bucks County.
