Your input is still welcomed since the plan will help shape the community's future by providing decision-making guidance on such issues as zoning, open-space acquisition, transportation improvements, water supply planning, stormwater management and sewage facilities planning.
Careful planning is important because the state's Municipal Planning Code requires townships to provide opportunities for all types of land uses. For example, the Plan adds Agricultural Tourism as an allowed use but imposes guidelines about where it can occur. The same holds for new uses such as medical marijuana dispensaries and private rental properties (Airbnb).
Bucks County Planning Commission presentation of the 2020 Draft Comprehensive Plan was continued from August 6, 2020 to September 3, 2020 7:00pm at the Perkasie Fire Hall located at 100 North Fifth Street to allow time to respond to all public comments received.
Based on the current Governor’s COVID-19 Disaster Declaration and Mitigation Order the Planning Commission meeting is being held with special meeting protocol. Six feet social distancing and masks will be adhered to. Pre-registration is required by contacting the Township Manager by 3:00pm on September 2, 2020 to ensure conformity with indoor attendance protocol.
