The Perkasie Samuel Pierce Branch of the Bucks County Free Library is offering virtual events for families including story time for pre-school children and special events for elementary students in the month of December in addition to virtual live program sessions for families of all ages during the week between Christmas and New year's.
Because attendance is limited, preregistration is required for the virtual live program sessions. After you register, you will receive an email confirmation containing a link and password to the live zoom event. One day before show time, you will receive a second email containing a link and password to the live Zoom event. Only register once for your whole family or household it is not necessary to register each family member or viewer.
Live Zoom Events:
- Virtual Cartooning Class Monday, December 28 from 2:00 – 3:00 PM. One-hour cartooning workshop with cartoonist Rick Stromoski. Great for all levels of expertise, this workshop focuses on character design and human expression. Best for grades 3-7, come prepared with a stack of paper and drawing utensils!
- Principles of Hip Hop Tuesday, December 29 2:00 – 3:00 PM. Explore the roots of hip hop culture with Hip Hop Fundamentals. This ensemble of dynamic and energetic dancers use breakdancing and abundant audience participation to explore hip hop's rich cultural history and how underserved inner-city youth changed the world. The performance focuses on youth empowerment, diversity, creativity, and working together, embodied by hip hop's four principles: Peace, Love, Unity, and Having Fun! All ages welcome.
- Music Play Patrol Wednesday, December 30 10:00 – 11:00 AM & Wednesday, December 30 2:00 – 3:00 PM. Join Music Play Patrol for a Countdown to Noon program. We'll focus on counting, math, and dancing, and have a virtual parade! This program is best for ages 2-10.
- Magician Ran’D Shine Thursday, December 31 2:00 – 3:00 PM. Back virtually by popular demand, it’s no secret that Ran'D Shine is one of the most sought after family entertainers! Known for a “Different Kind of Deception,” his engaging illusions and sleight of hand will amaze children and adults alike.
