East Rockhill Township would like to thank and acknowledge the Pennridge Regional Police Department.
2024 Accomplishments:
- Obtained NIBRS Certification which allows detailed crime data to be reported to the FBI.
- Installed license plate readers at seven major intersections with a Pennsylvania Commission Crime and Delinquency (PCCD) grant award.
- New 9mm Glock handguns with red dot sight picture equipment for officer firearm proficiency.
- New Headquarter foyer entrance window improving interaction between officers and visitors to the station.
- Updated surveillance camera system.
- Introduced a middle cover schedule position that allows for efficient deployment of officers during higher call volumes and traffic.
- Officer Klein was added to the Central Bucks Special Response Team to serve as a member of the SWAT team.
- Officer Koerper was added to the department bringing the police department staffing to thirteen officers and one civilian.
- Two Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) Grant awards over $180,000 for 2025 patrol vehicle replacement, speed board and new interview room.
2025 Goals:
- Attaining accreditation with the Pennsylvania Law Enforcement Accreditation Commission with the task anticipated to be completed in 2026.
- Install license plate reader cameras at two new intersections with the 2023 PCCD grant award.
- Transition to new records management system.
